Finasteride for receding hairline?

Question:
How effective in finasteride in halting the receding of hair, and does it have any long term side effects?

Answers:
I've been using it since I was 22/23 and was showing some real signs of recession. My brother and father were both bald by their late twenties but I can honestly say that at 28, I still have as much hair now as I did when I started taking them.

10/10 for me. At £40 a month - it's still well worth it.
My Dad uses it for prostate problems. So what's the link? I never have heard of any drug that works for hair loss. But hey good luck. As to the side effects they should be listed on the paper that comes in the dispensing box.
