Circumcised??

Question:
is it easier for a guy to get a disease or infection if he's not circumcised??

Answers:
Uncircumcised guys are only at higher risk if they don't keep clean. And as one, I know that only takes less than 10 seconds of my day's time to do (just slide it back and rub).

In addition, being uncircumcised does give you benefits, too.

Circumcision is extremely painful.

The USA is the last advanced nation doing it, but rates have fallen down from over 90% in the 1960s to as low as 21% here in California currently. From CNN:

Circumcision was actually promoted in the USA at first to stop masturbation (in hopes of it being tight enough to require lubes and not have skin to slide since the foreskin is already moist)

USA = highest HIV rates in advanced nations (and highest circumcision rates). CIA statistics:

And one study already trashed the claims of the study that said that circumcision reduces HIV.

Somewhat, if he doesn't keep himself clean under his foreskin. There were some reports a few years ago that women had a greater risk (of cervical cancer?) if the man wasn't circumcised, but since I haven't heard that lately, maybe it turned out not to be true.
Yes! because the foreskin retains bacteria. Additionally it is a good place for them to reproduce ( because of humidity) especially if guys don't thoroughly wash their privates.
yup
It is easier to keep clean if circumcised. Carcinoma of the penis is much less common in circumcised
Recently it has been shown that being circumcised REDUCES the chance of catching HIV by 70%.

These results have been so dramatic that it has been seriously suggested as a way of trying to reduce HIV transmission in countries where it is endemic
it is easier if they don't clean it
studys on hiv in africa show that circumcised men are less likely to spread hiv. well thats what CNN is reporting
Supposedly. But as an uncircumcised guy I can say I have never had an infection from it. And, not that I would recommend it, but I have gone days without a shower and never had an infection. Sounds disgusting, but you all know I am not the only one.

Arguments like this may not be untrue, but they are really just excuses to mutilate a baby's penises.
I'm not circumcised and I've never had an infection. If you keep it clean (takes less than 10 secs a day) I would say there is no more chance of getting an infection than someone who is circumcised.
Yes, the forskin can harbor infections.
Also in Africa a study showed that men that were circumcised were 60% less likely to contract HIV or other diseases.
yes it is and this is the primary reason why Jews were circumcised thousands of years ago. I was in the hospital with a guy who was circumcised when he was 34 years old. Gads did he suffer. Reason for the circumcision? Infection.
No more than it is for an uncircumcised woman. Seriously. in fact, women are MORE prone to infection, what with all our folds and crevices and the placement of the urinary tract. What would you have cut off of your genitals to keep them clean?
yes
There are some reports of this, but the studies don't seem to be very conclusive. Like the HIV one, I believe that was done in a third-world country anyway. If men wash and all then I doubt they're going to be getting infections. And they should be having safe sex anyway, being circumcised is not a good enough reason to stop that. Plus, is it worth it? If you chop off your nipples as a baby you won't get breast cancer.
