Ingrown Toenail advice!?

Question:
When i remove the dressing from my toe is it okay instead of putting on triple antibiotic and applying gauze that i just use a bandaid rather than gauze?

Answers:
It depends on the severity of the problem. When I had an ingrown toenail fixed, I was told to just put bandaids on it, but if yours was really bad, you may have to use gauze. It's best to do what the doctor told you, but either way, always make sure you apply the antibiotic to prevent infection.
Been there, it stinks. Yeah, you can switch to a bandaid. Just make sure you're not oozing a lot, other wise the gauze would be better. For me, I stuck with the gauze for like a week to cushion my toe while I was at work. If you can be wearing sandals, it'll help it get air and keep pressure off of it which can make it hurt.
