NO you are not exxatly right. For muscle hyperthophy.ie mass gain..the ideal rep range is between 8 to 12 reps. That means that the 12th rep is the one afterwhich you just cannot lift no more. That is bringing your muscle to failure.
Also your biceps and triceps are only about 10% of the total muscles in your body. I see no reason why you should need to do more than 2 to 3 excercises each for the tri and biceps. Stick with 3 exercises at most each consisting about 4 to 5 sets. Stick to the range of 8 to 12 reps per set. That should see you pretty decent resullts if you do the excercises correctly and eat right...also do not expect instant results..it takes time for your body to grow...measure yourself overtime ...like every 3 weeks..good luck
ronnie coleman recommends 10 reps minimum of a weight you can barely squeeze out. worked for him
