First of all, I'm a male.. I have nipple discharge from my right nipple. I doubt if it's cancer. I'm 44, and I first noticed this when I was 17, in my freshman year of college. It still occurs. The right nipple stays erect, while the other doesn't. My pecs are equal size. Initially when I was 17, there was a time when my right nipple was sore for a few months. Then the nipple had been erect ever since. I never did anything about the pain (fear, and lack of insurance). No soreness since college, and that was in early 1981. It's also very sensitive; I feel the need to pull on it alot, but not the same with the other one. My wife (and past girlfriends) favors that one as well, because, when we're intimate, that's the one she can easily locate by touch. I've never mentioned this to my doctor. I'm just too embarrassed to mention it. Why or how is my nipple discharge possible? PLEASE, SERIOUS RESPONSES APPRECIATED. Thanks

ok, first off this has been going on to long for u not to have asked ur doctor( not trying to rag on u) i experienced da same thing in high-school, i told my mom and she asked my older male cousin who sed dont worry its normal, it will go away and it did. havent thought about it again til i saw ur question. plz get checked out, this doesnt sound normal for something to be continuing for this long.

What color is the discharge? That is of importance. You could have higher levels of female hormones causing that problem. Or it could be a cancer, You should be seen by a Dr.
First why have you not mention this to your doctor? Second how do you know it's not cancer , your 44 this been going on sense you where 17 still it could be Cancer your a male there is know reason why you shall having a discharge from your nipple, that is one of the warning signs.---Unusual bleeding or discharge, a sore that wont heal ,obsessive lost of weight. please do yourself and wife a favor get it checked out good luck.
