Anyone had or know what a hernia feels like?
Question:
Just wondering if it's simply a muscle problem or if anyone out there has had a hernia issue. Is that where you get a hernia? Right next to your groin muscle?
Answers:
Symptoms of a hernia include pain or discomfort and a localized swelling somewhere on the surface of the abdomen or in the groin area. a burning sensation can also be felt. All the symptoms are persistent and wont go away.
The hernia should be about where you have your problem. It starts out as a discomfort and can become much worse with part of the intestine bulging out of your abdominal wall. Go have it checked out before it becomes worse.

There are several types of hernias. Sometimes, all you feel is a "pop" as the tissue slides in and out of the hole. Other times, it can be severe pain from an infection. A hernia can be life threatening.
At any rate, your description is something that needs to be checked out by a doctor.
You can get a hernia anywhere on the body, I have one in my stomache. It hurts from time to time, try laying down and pressing in those places(very lightly) you should feel a lump if one's there, if not then you're okay.
yep...had a hernia and it started out exactly like the pain you are describing. Go see your doc and get it checked out ASAP.
