I wish I knew what pea shy was, so I could help you. I used to be cranberry shy, but that's only because cranberry sauce looks kind of gory. I do understand regular shy, though, and it takes effort on your part to get over it. One step at a time...walk up to a stranger and stick out your hand, volunteer at a shelter or hospital, step outside your comfort zone and build your confidence from the inside.
Yeah, I know how you feel I had the same problem in highschool the one thing I did to overcome was when I was in college drinking just drink a lot of beers or water to the point if you don't go you will piss you pants. After my first time I was fine, just being nervous.
I think pea shy is where you think someone will look at your ****.

I have never been PEA shy... I got nervous around an Acorn Squash once... I yelled at my corn... but I have never been shy...
I remember being at a concert and having to go really bad. I decided to try and cut in line saying I just wanted to wash my hands and there was a piss troth or well that was about thirty feet long and only about seven guys were using it.
All the guys in line were afraid that some one/guy was going to see their pee pee.
Big deal. if some dude looks say, Hey I'm not gay. If you want to look. Your gay. An occasional glance during your release isn't really gay, buy don't be afraid to pee in public. It Can be damaging in the long run. Be brave and get over it.
Don't go to the toilet untill you are just about to the point of peeing in your pants, than use the urinal. After you have done that a few times it will seem normal. The best urinals to do this at are ones that it is unlikely that you will see anybody that you know. At first try going when there is noboby elce in the bathroom or using the urinal and build up to crowded and packed bathrooms. Good luck
