Even though our society goes forward often the progress doesn't mean freedom openness & tollerance. Once boys started and shared their first experience with some close friend or in a group and nobody became gay or then was pointed out and taunted for that! Often familial members or adults even know that but there was reserve and discernment. Sex was a play as well as it should be at that age! There were more free (living) space around and more time & occasions to meet and be together. Listening old people I often hear: "life was better when we were worse!"
