Question:

Have any of you ever masterbated, or experimented sexually with friends? Is this part of growing up, or why does it seem to happen when you start going through puberty.

Answers:
Me personally no.

But I have heard, and it is well documented that boys and girls in many instances have experimented with members of the same sex. It does not mean you are gay though.
Puberty, curiosity and hormones do some really wild and strange things to young teenagers. Experimentation is perfectly normal.
I did experiment with girls at young ages. The "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" routine was quite common. Probably more so than many parents want to believe.

Don't worry. You sound young. Don't beat yourself up about it. I do understand it is a very private matter and you probably don't want to talk to any parents or relatives about this. It's cool.

Just be really careful.

I just hope that when my kids get to your age and this happens they won't feel guilty or bad about it. I hope I can be open and willing to talk to them about it if they so desire without being judgmental.

Why would you want to do that?

i never did anything with friends, but i know alot of guys who did (and chicks too). It means something very terrible - that you are curious about your body and how you are developing as compared to others in your social group. What it does NOT mean is that you are gay, bi, or anything like that and it does NOT suggest that you may later decide that you are. it means you are curious only - nothing more. Is it normal?? I guess that really depends on what you define as normal. Is it common? Yep. Do people who spaz out at the mere asking of this question have sexual identity issues?? yep.

It is ok to be curious and have questions about one's sexual development. It is NOT ok to practice an unsafe lifestyle. Whatever you choose to do, be careful, be private, be discreet, and USE PROTECTION. As far as sexual activity goes, realize that there are consequences and make sure you are prepared to deal with those consequences in a mature way. If you aren't, then keep in your pants unless you are alone. Good luck, stay safe, and have fun growing up.

uhhh...my friends and i never experimented with each other (the guys anyways) i experimented with one of my friends, but she was a girl...whole 'nother situation

I did when I was younger- and grew out of it. I think it was just part of growing up.
