I don't know why you want to spend $30+ on shorts at all-go nude, it's perfectly natural and nudity does not mean sex. Europe has a deep reguard for the naked HUman body-perfectly normal and it's getting there in the USA too-slowly.
But if you have to-just wear a loose swim brief. Who wants all that wet fabric on them from those shorts?
Lose the board shorts, put on a speedo. They dont chafe the thighs when wet and you get a better tan.
