It might lighten it a little but you're probably going to turn out with orange hair if your hair is dark at all, or either you'll have streaks or uneven spots. But hey, I've made many a hairdo mistake, so I say don't be afraid to try new things, just make sure you do it the right way, and make sure you have enough money to fix it back real quick if you screw it up.
