Sleep? Stress?
Question:
Answers:
If you are able to do this, then you might "kill two birds with one stone." When you arrive home in the evening, light the house with low light -- unless you are reading or painting or lighting the space directly above your cooking area.
Put on some soothing music. Jazz or mongolian or elevator music. whatever. Something that you enjoy and find soothing.
Light some candles and try not to get harried by nighttime activities. Enjoy your meal rather than gulping it down. Keep it sort of light, so that it doesn't sit in your tummy.
Don't watch movies or sports that cause you to get worked up, and try to keep arguments and heated discussions to a time earlier in the day.
Avoid coffee, tea, and other stimulants. A glass of wine is ok, but only if you don't have any problems with it.
Relax. Let yourself enjoy the evening. You will feel less stressed and you will be ready to sleep when the lights go out.
