I just got my hair cut very short, it not even on my neck. So how long does it take for the avearge african american teen girl hair to grow? how may inches in a month, and a year. what kinda od products can i use to increase the growth og my hair? And what if my hair is short and thin in some parts, what are the best products and foods and drinks. (for black african american hair)

If you take good care of your hair, it can grow from 1/2 an inch to 1 inch per month. Use a good shampoo and conditioner. I like garnier fructis. Pantene has good shampoos too, and they make it for our kind of hair. Get your ends trimmed ever 3 or 4 weeks. And try to get all of the dead ends off too. The healtier your ends are, the better your hair will grow. Use a scarf to wrap your hair at night. And try not to use a lot of heat in your hair. Like curling irons and flat irons.
As far as food and drinks. try to add more fruits and vegetables to your diet.

Cutie_pie had the right thought-she stole mine lol. But in case you don't wanna go there, or buy the book "grow your hair six inches longer in one year" then lemme tell you.
1. Put moisturizer on your hair and wrap it every night with a silk scarf on it.
2. Make sure your moisturizer has water as the first ingredient.
3. Be very careful when you comb ur hair and don't brush it unless it's just to smooth it. Thorough brushings aren't for black girls' hair.
4. Don't let anyone tell you that washing your hair dries it out, it only dries it out because duh, you just washed out the products, so put more moisturizer on it.
5. Be careful that you don't use hot stuff on your hair too often.
