Where can I find someone on the net to talk with about being an sexual abuse survivor?
I was sexually abuse as a child from the age of 3 to the age of 14 off and on by family members and foster parents and friends of the family.I am 33 years old now and for many years I pushed the depression the guilt the pain away so that I could survive and raise my kids but now I am finding that I cant controll this depression and the guilty feelings of that I have done something wrong or that I want to hurt myself.The only reason I am still alive is cause of my kids and my husband without them I don't think I would be here.My kids mean everything to me and I dont think I could hurt them by hurting myself,I wouldn't leave them.Please help I really need someone to talk to and that knows these feelings that I am dealing with!!

Our stories are similar and I'm always open for new online friends :) But you really should try and find someone to talk to in your real life like a therapist or counselor? Is there some reason you haven't done so before..?
In order to heal from anything traumatic, you must process it somehow. Talking about it is the key, but its something you should talk to a professional about.
Its not your fault;you've done nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with getting help when you need it. And you need to find it inside yourself to do it for yourself, not just your kids and family. You're worth it!! :D

You could get some ideas about where to go for help by going to www.rainn.com This site is for rape victims/sexual assault victims.You could also contact your local women's shelter, and tell them what kind of help you're looking for. They'll be able to direct you where to go.
