what is normal blood sugar level for non diabetic people and those who are insulin restainit?

Question:
am little fuzzy on sugar levels i tested randomly it was after a meal about half hour to hour and was 130 i dont know if that was normal reading or if it highmy sugar before meals run any where from 85-140 before meals sometimes 68-75 before meals nevrthe same after meals 1-2 hours 130-150 or 110-85 am lost at this

Answers:
Normal is between 80 and 120. If you are getting readings over 130, then you probably have diabetes or prediabetes. 130 isn't bad for someone who is diabetic, but for someone who isn't, it does raise eyebrows.

Other Answers:
blood sugar should be no more than 126

you sound OK. It can spike after meals, but the numbers you listed are pretty good.

An incidental case of having blood sugar above 130 does not indicate that you "probably have diabetes". Go eat a couple candy bars and wash them down with a can of soda and see what happens to your blood sugar. It will initially rise to a level outside of the normal range (80-120), but it will return to a normal range over time.

You need to be concerned when your blood sugar is CONSISTENTLY high. If your blood sugar was 130 or more and did NOT come down over time, that would be an indication that your body is not producing insulin at the rate needed to metabolize the sugar.

i you test non diabetic person if you have then you will know what it should be i test all day so if my is to high i will have to sleep a bit
