I just started lifting again and my bench press right now is 180 1 rep max, how long to get to 250?

This might sound contradictory but in order to make your chest large you need to make sure you work your legs hard. Your body has a mechanism that insures that your top doesn't get too out of proportion to your bottom.
Perform heavy squats along with your bench presses in a full body three day workout like this one:
LEGS

Every two weeks increase the weight on each exercise by 10%. If you can’t don’t worry about it. Keep trying until you can. The third set of each exercise can be exhaustion set.
If you do this workout combined with a good protein rich diet and continue to increase the weight on all your lifts by 10% every two weeks you will blow past a 250lbs! Try Creatine and HMB as well! Hope this helps!

if you max at 180, you should be doing reps at 130. I would do 4 reps of 10 at 130. Then gradually work your way up. Do it every other day, and on the in between days i would do diamond push ups, it really feels out the chest.
