try talking to someone else or you can go exercise. by done one of these u forget what u was mad about.
Close your eyes, and imagine something far worse than what has happened to have made you so angry, and then . as a last resort, think. " this too shall pass, ". what is it going to prove,in me displaying my anger? Other than one not being able to take more control over oneself.

before bursting into anger take a deep breath, count 1 to 10 & think of the consequences in losing ur temper.
Forget about counting to 10. Count to 1,000 before you do or say anything worse. Also a bad temper combined with anger can be a warning sign of depression in men.get help if this applys to you.
Try to control your self and always think before you speak and act. Always remember that the words that come out of your mouth will hurt the people you love. Think about the other times where your temper got out of control. Did you solve anything? Chances are you didn't and maybe things got worse. Think about some of those situations and think of a way you could have resolved them with out resorting to violence and abusive behavior.
I'd be curious about several things. Your childhood, lifestyle, and hormone levels. All of these things can contribute to stress/ the need to choke the living sh*t out of someone who desperately needs it. I do understand the temper thing myself. I have to remember that I represent others, and must lead by example. I don't need that kind of press, if you know what I mean.
