Brand of short and long Jeans that will compliment flat butts? (LONG)?
Question:
1) Is it wise for me with "healthy legs" (not fat, but not model thin either) to wear wide-leg shorts (not hip/thigh/butt hugging)? I am 5'6", height-weight proportionate.
2) Can I wear mid-length (above knee) capris hugging my thighs? I found that this seems to "hug" my butt and compliment it more. But wondered what other women in their 30's wear for their flat butts (if any)?
3) Won't above-knee capris hugging my thighs/butt give that "ice-cream cone" effect?
4) For women with flat butts, what brands of jeans (both short and long) have you found that best compliments your flat butt?
Answers:
Flatt-ish butt here!! Over here!! Oh, and I also sell designer denim for a living as well.
If you want to unflatten your butt here are 2 suggestions from me.
1: FLAP POCKETS like this: http://www.paigepremiumdenim.com/pl/c/9.html
Flap pockets add a little more junk to your trunk
2: The site I sent to you to show you some flaps is also the website of FANTASTIC jeans that are the most universally flaterring denim I have ever sold or worn. If you want to splurge a little, than these are the jeans to do it on.
Wide leg shorts? I am envisioning a skate park or a rave. Please tell me you aren't considering wearing shorts that wide are you?? If not, than I guess it's ok. I would try out some bermuda shorts if you are looking for longer shorts. Not all bermuda shorts, or capris hug. You need to find a happy medium between wide, and fitted.

I am providing this link as an example, to give you an idea of the shape you should be looking for. I think Vince is a nice line, but for clothing that looks like the Gap, a girl should just go to the Gap.
Oh, I am 29 by the way. Which is close enough to 30 :)
Hope I helped!

Mens "Polo Jeans". It does wonders for my flat behind.
Diesel Jeans work GREAT on my flat butt. They make me look a size or two smaller than I am too :)
Also have had good luck with certain models of SILVER brand jeans.
I have trouble wtih jeans, as I have birthing hips and a flat butt.
I am 5'9 and about 134-137 lbs. I have get jeans big enough for my hips, and therefore they are often unflattering. That is until I discovered DIESEL and SILVER. Now I wear jeans almost everyday.

Here are the answers to your questions!
1)Q: Is it wise for me with "healthy legs" (not fat, but not model thin either) to wear wide-leg shorts (not hip/thigh/butt hugging)? I am 5'6", height-weight proportionate.
A: I think it would be fine! If you had wider legs, it would be unwise to wear them!! Just look for the color that compliments your skin tone.
2) Can I wear mid-length (above knee) capris hugging my thighs? I found that this seems to "hug" my butt and compliment it more. But wondered what other women in their 30's wear for their flat butts (if any)?
A: The long shorts are in style right now. They are the new "shor shorts". Find these shorts with pockets, which compliment the butt. Lighter colors make everything appear larger!!
3) Won't above-knee capris hugging my thighs/butt give that "ice-cream cone" effect?
A: If you have somewhat thin legs, then yes. Especially if you wear white, or another light color.
4) For women with flat butts, what brands of jeans (both short and long) have you found that best compliments your flat butt?
A: You should try Victoria's Secret, The original VS uplift jeans. They have bulit in back stretch panel with seams for shaping. They sit low on the waist, and have a slim fit and bootcut leg. The invisible seamed panel does what push-up bras do, lifts, supports and shapes. It gives your rear a curve enchancing shape.
Hope I helped! [:

Just an idea of your size, i'd stay away from above-knee capris hugging thigh pants. Doesn't sound like your kind of pants. I think that you should start exercising that butt and get it rounder, but most of all avoid anything that doesn't have pockets. You want to make it look like you have something back there, even if you don't. I think there might even be some sort of panty that has "lifts". Look at Victoria's Secret web site. You need to get to the stairs, stand in front of it, step up on the stair and swing your other leg behind you to give you some muscle tone. Do it about 12 times for each bun. Good luck. I'm in my 40s and I like to keep my buns in shape, and not have what my sister and I have coined as "the mom butt". You should get a good magazine subscription. In Style is good for you and will give you age appropriate as well as ideas on body types for styles.
As far as the jeans for the flat bottom.try any brand.just make sure they have pockets..ones with flaps work even better.
I like Gloria Vanderbilt, and Bandelino.
If you have Buckle store in your area, go there! There jeans make it look like you have a butt! They have a website if you don't have the store in your area.

I have a flat one too. Try Gloria Vanderbelt or Ann Taylor Loft. Made for the flat butts.
