I've heard the Vitamin E helps reduce scaring
Other Answers:
Simple . don't get burned! As I always tell my friends - "it's called sunscreen . use it!" SPF 45.
The pigmentation change is your skin's way of trying to protect itself from another burn. Burning to often, or even tanning to often, can lead to blotchy and spotted skin as you get older.
