where do u get acrylic nails from? i really need them 2 help me stop biting my nails?

Question:
preferably inexpensive.

Answers:
Visit your favorite salon.

Don't buy the cheap acrylic nails. The glue is either too week and the nails fall off -- or the glue is too strong and it ruins your natural fingernails.

Other Answers:
I saw them today at the dollar store.

I use "Thum" on my fingernails when I get to biting. It helps.

well the best place u can find them is at a salon.

You can buy fake finger nails from any drug store. If you want professional, longer lasting acrylic nails you would need to go to a salon. It costs more, but they last longer (and look better in my opinion).

Go to a manicurist. My Mum has them and they make your real nails go all soft and spongey, so if you want acrylics you need to be prepared to have them FOREVER and have them touched up every couple of weeks. Have you tried that stuff that you paint over your nails that is meant to stop ypu biting them? I don't know if it works cos I'm not a nail biter, it was just an idea. Hope whatever you try works :)

You can buy them at places like Target or Walgreens. But if you want them to stop biting your nails you need to go to a salon and have them put on by a professional. The ones you buy in a store don't usually work, because they are too easy to bite through or pull off.

Nearest nail salon or a Sally's Beauty supply store has kits to do yourself

any manicure place, really. but if you want, you can get them from a drugstore like rite aid.

I would not suggest acrylic nails, just because I am not a fan of them. They tend to ruin your natural nail.

As for nail biting, I used to be an avid nailbiter, I learned to stop by a)identifying the situations when I was prone to biting my nails and b) taking fresh garlic and putting them under my fingernails. <--you can wash your hands so that others don't smell them but as soon as you put your fingers to your mouth to bite, you will get that nasty taste hence deterring the desire to bite.

Well it seems that there's enough info on where to get them. My only gripe with acrylic nails is that they can cause your nail to form ridges.

I'd always considered myself to have beautiful nails until acrylic nails destroyed all of that.

A few years back, while a junior/senior in highschool, I'd gotten acrylic nails. Had them redone for about 5 mos. and that's when vertical ridges started forming. Checked all over the net and haven't found a remedy for this yet!

Some say vertical ridges have to do with vitamin deficiency but I AM CERTAIN that the acrylic caused them b/c I didn't have them until I'd gotten acrylic nails.
