Question:
Answers:
Eat chocolate and drink an energy drink or a Coke/Pepsi. If you don't want to do that, standing up and moving around always wakes me up at my desk. Take a break and go outside if you can.

I would try just getting more sleep. Energy pills/drinks get the job done, but are not ultimately the best choice. Also, try to find interest in your work. It will help battle fatigue and tiredness.

water, and lots of it - cold water
Red Bull gives you wings! and any other energy drinks would work too.
Your favorite music, bunch of crazy friends, just dont sit down. and if you have to take a 20 min power nap. Sports drinks and carbohydrates dont do that much for you, but you can try<<they do nothing if you drink a lot of caffine.
me too. lighter meals, running up the stairwell, many teas, green and black, getting excited about what you'll do when you get off, better posture,
First make sure you get plenty of rest. Eat a good meal. Try yoga. That's a good way to relive stress or aerobics. Or best yet don't try to pull a allnighter with your friends the day before you have to go to work.
Two that I have heard that are interesting:
1. Peel an orange. People say that the smell of the orange is a natural and instant pick-me-up
2. I heard this on the John Tesh Radio show.take ice-cold water and gargle with it. It is suppose to awaken your nerve endings or somehting like that.. ; o )
Green Tea works perfect. It will give you that energy boost with "laser-like" speeds without the energy drainage later on that occurs with coffee.
Also one who drinks too much coffee or caffiene can whip thier adrenal glands and over time develop severe bouts of chronic fatigue.
Sure soda or red bull can give you a drug-like quick pick me up, but surely overtime you develop almost a dependency on them and need it just to function which is not good.
Also as a personal trainer I recommend clients who notice these frequent bouts of energy drainages during the afteroon to take 500 mg's of the amino acid L-tyrosine to curb that midafternoon fatigue. Also good for boosting moods big time as well.
I've seen it work wonders time and time again. I could be so much more descriptive. But start with these 2 for now.
