Is this normal (tingling)?

Question:
Whenever I get angry or frightened, my face tingles, sometimes to the point of being painful. I have to "wipe away" the feeling, and then it usually comes back. I usually don't show much emotion, but this has been happening more and more lately, and I just want to know if it's normal? I know people tingle, but is it supposed to be physically painful?

Answers:
hmmm i dont know but a doctor would. well, a good doctor would (good luck finding one!). but if i had to guess, i would say it sounds like anxiety.

ps-thanks for giving average girls like myself hope! bunch of "americanized"(nice word) idiots.you shall bow to me! muwhahaha

Other Answers:
Make sure you don't turn green and turn into the incredible hulk or something. Perhaps you just get too mad and then say nothing, ie: put up and shut up, that your face reacts to this. Maybe if you spoke up in the argument you might lose the tingling sensation.

If it gets worse, please see a doc. Don't suffer in silence over what could be something and nothing.

Good luck!

This happens to me, but it's not really a painful tingling, per se. When I get angry or if I realize I've just made a huge mistake my face tingles momentarily and I can practically feel all the synapses in my brain firing away. It's a really odd sensation.

sounds like anxiety attacks, I have had that feeling and I went to the doctor and he prescribed a med for anxiety. dont let it go, get help as soon as possible.

tingleing in the face when having high blood presure is not normal it could lead you to a stroke so get your artrays < checked . please se a doctor
