Why am I so slow?


Question:
I have always been very lethargic in my general movements and work rate and I wondered if there was anything anyone knows about it, or how I can improve it?

It's not lazyness, I work hard! It's just that my hard work is never as quick as other peoples easy work. I have lost jobs in the past because I have not produced the levels of work needed and that is even after staying behind for an extra few hours. The quality of the work I produce is good, it's just the quantity.

I have recently started playing American Football too and I love it, but I lack any natural aggression, which effects how I play. If I can't get angry I can't beat the guy opposite me. Is there anything I can do to give me more, I don't know, enthusiasm or speed? Because this is really annoying me and it makes me very angry at myself sometimes. Is hypnotism an option and would it do anything?

I'd appreciate any information or help with this at all.

it could be that you have a genetically slow body - both in your energy systems and in muscle structure - not everyone is a sprinter - the world needs plough horses too!

you can improve this to a certain extent by training and diet - make sure you are getting a lot of good fruits and veges in your diet and high quality protein like fish, poultry, low fat dairy - avoid heavily fatty foods and high sugar foods


train fast - learn how to do plyometrics and sprints sessions - if you do weights do it each rep like a big explosion - foucs all your traininmg effort on thinking fast and being fast

learn how to read game lines and react quickly - a man using his brain to predict the game move can be there faster than the man who is just fast



yes you can try some simple mental techniques to focus you into the moment - remeber it is assertiveness rather than aggression that works in sport - it is easy to beat the angry man hard to beat the focused one



finally get a check up and some blood work done - mild heart problems, mild diabetes, some basic mineral deficits can all cause sluggishness

I wonder if it is a lack of a vitamin? Try adding more of the B Vitamins, they seem to give me more pep. I drink a lot of coffee which seems to help as well.

I know what you are talking about. I can be very slow as well.

well i am not trying to be funny but it could be that you need to release some sexual aggression it may help the way you think and feel it may give you a better in site on things try it and see if that works .. or you can get a natural pill that will boost you ability to bet faster go to the pharmacy and try it good luck

How old are you ? It maybe that it`s in you`re nature to be slow, people should take you for what you are, If you`re not happy go see a doctor to put you`re mind at ease, just be yourself.

How come you can get angry at yourself, but not at an opposing football player? Do you think you have a psychological problem? Did you ever see a doctor about it? Perhaps something is wrong with your metabolism? (I don't know, not a doctor)

Edit: from the way you write, it seems certain that you are not lacking in intelligence.

I'd try increasing your caffeine content!

Maybe you just need to play a more active sport, like boxing. Or feed with a litle more carbs that the average your doing now [it's not to kee you awake!] to keep you more active.
