can drinking pepsi or coke make one fat?

Question:
can drinking pepsi or coke make one fat, and how long

Answers:
If the majority of you diet is good, but you have an occasional soda you are most likely not going to get fat but if you only eat fatty food and soda then there is a good chance you will gain wait. Of course you must add exercise in also. If you exercise a lot you can afford to induldge a little bit more.
As for my advice though I'd say stop drinking soda all together. It's acctually not that hard and then once you get used to not drinking it becomes easy as the taste becomes undesirable (I know from personal experience)

Other Answers:
yes. if you drink to much of it. Most of what you are drinking is sugar

Yes Very Fat right up to obeisity

drinking pepsi or coke contributes in making you fat

I believe it can if you are drinking regualr coke or pepsi. If you drink diet pepsi or coke it will not make you gain weight, and my dentist suggests drinking the diet version so as not too have too much sugar decaying your teeth

for long time yes

Yes, not only does it make you fat the carbonation dehydrates you.

Not only will all that processed sugar make you fat it will eventually lead to adult type 2 diabetes

Yes. Adding calories to your diet can make you fat. However, drinking diet sodas may not be much better. I just heard a report on TV that evidence shows that most artificial sweetners raise Cortisol, a hormone released in your body when you are stressed. It has been known for years that Cortisol decreases your metabolism and helps cause obesity.

Best bet: Drink water. Or for something sweeter drink juice (not juice cocktails - they are all sugar, too).

Well, sodas have little going for them nutritionally. In fact, I can't think of anything they do have going for them except that they taste so darn good. Sodas are loaded with empty calories, so sure, they can contribute to weight gain. If you're like me and have a really hard time weening yourself off sodas entirely (and your main concern is the calorie-content and not the troubling studies on the effects of aspartame), try moving to diet sodas. I've started drinking diet coke/pepsi instead of regular (along with a MUCH healthier diet and plenty of exercise) and have gotten into much better shape.

It sure can. Once you gain weight from it you will not lose it until you stop drinking it plus all that sugar can drain you of energy and make you tired. My daughter started drinking Pepsi when she was a teenager and continued to drink it until recently. My daughter lost a lot of weight in a short time. I was worried about her and told her that. She told me she decided to quit drinking Pepsi because she said she was addicted to it. She wasn't real fat but was overweight. Now she is thin. She lost weight in her legs, thighs, etc. Everyone has commented on how good she looks and wants to know how she did it.

Sure. I know a girl who switched to diet cola and she lost lots of weight.

No, but stay away from sodas. One of my roommates drinks a lot of soda and now he is diabetic. So, if you don't want to be diabetic, stay away from soda. Drink something good for you. Water or juice.
