Birthcontrol pills, are they relly worth taking?

Question: Ok, so my dr put me on birthcontol pills after having a tubal 5 years ago to regulate my period. They have decreased my sex drive and my hubby has been crazy. I quit taking them last week. Has anyone else had issues like this while taking the pills?

I have had the same experience with trying to regulate periods. I also quit taking the pill as I was gaining weight and my face was broke out. I had NO sex drive either. Don't know the reason why on that one. My nurse practitioner pu me on a very sm dose of hormones and that seemed to work after about 2 months. When everything was all staightened out I decided I didn't want to take those either and quit it all. I have been regular now for a while. I reduced some stress in my life and that also could have helped. Good Luck

Yes. You have to decide if the benefits outweigh the risks. Having a regular monthly cycle is nice (no surprises while away from home), but is the convenience worth your sex life? Talk with your doc to see if there are other options available to you and decide for yourself if the BC pills are worth it.
