I took Effexor, and had the same problem, it will go away in a few weeks. I just dealt with it.

coming off of any anti-depressant will prodce these side effects. Are you coming off slowly. It should take a few weeks.
very normal. I had mild dizziness coming off zoloft, it will last a little while, depending on your dosage and how long you were on it.
yeah, this is a common side effect of coming off of it. bear with it. it will get better in a few days.

I'm no doctor, but I have something called vertigo, which is just a fancy name for dizziness. My doc prescribed a med called Antivert, which I have recently learned is nothing other than the main ingredient in Dramamine.an over the counter remedy for motion sickness. Only difference is that my Antivert (generic brand is Meclizine) is 25 mg of Meclizine, and the Dramamine is only 12.5. Since Dramamine is OTC, perhaps it won't hurt to try using it to relieve your dizziness?
i was on that too, but never had the any dizziness, but i was at the highest dose, and slowing over a period of 3 months, i was off, but never had any side effects. why don't you just ask your doctor, you who ever prescribed it to you.
