Schizophenia?

Question:
What is the worst type of schizophrenia and why?

Answers:
All types are disabling and tend to isolate the person from friens and family. If I had to choose a bad one, maybe paranoid. These are the people that are likely to present a threat to others, attacking or threatening to attack them because of the paranoid delusions they may have about them. They subsequently end up in jails and prisons with hardcore criminals and may not receive the help they need.

Other Answers:
paraniod, because of all the different types, the paraniod schizophrenic tends to become violent.

there is no "worst type" of schizophrenia, it sucks in general because your personalities sometimes have diferent points of veiw
like in the bad joke"i am schizophrenic, no i'm not, yes i am."

BS paranoids become violent that is a minority of cases. Quit spreading propaganda.

Catatonic is the worst I think because you have no life what so ever after that. You are just doomed to sit in a mental hospital.

And the are no multiple personalities either you!

I have schizophrenia and there isn't a worst type. Paranoia is the worst part of having it. I take Abilify, Zoloft and Wellbutrin and have no symptoms of the disease for 2 years now.

In the past I have heard voices and hallucinated and suffered from severe paranoia. Even though I have no symptoms now, I'm on Disability for the rest of my life.)(

Different types of schizophrenia are identified. There's the catatonic type, disorganized type, paranoid type. All have different characteristics, but prognosis is dependent upon the onset and time of progression of this disease. So its hard to tell which type's the worst. If u say according to symptoms, i think its the catatonic type which involves different types of psycho-motor disturbances. For example, the person may assume a fixed body posture for periods lasting for several minutes, even hours, in periods of agitation the person swings his arms, flapping them, shouts, makes animal like sounds.Other types involve just incoherent thinking, hallucinations and delusions.
I would like to add that, paranoid is similar but it can be diagnosed easily, and precautions are usually taken, catatonic is bad cos one never knows when the agitation begins, n usually it is a quiet/fixed disease, the limbs are like clay, if i put someone's hand in a particular position, the person does not move it whatsoever, even in the forced position.

i m a medical student and asked the same question to my psychiatrist teacher..i mean my opinion is based on her answer.

All types of schizophrenia are severe: paranoid, disorganized, catatonic, and undifferentiated.
However, I believe schizophrenia, catatonic type would be the most difficult. Patients with this type lose control of their motor and language abilities, so they can't take care of themselves. Sometimes, they can't eat, can't shower, and can't talk.
People with schizophrenia, paranoid type are still psychotic, but they can still function, even with their delusions and hallucinations. People with schizophrenia, disorganized type have disruption of speech, behavior, and emotion, but not to the extent of catatonic type,

psychologydebunked.com will have answers. They offer other links , free monthly news letters , and free counseling by email . most cases of schitzophrenia are actually caused by having a history involved in the occult or witchcraft and or drugs. Going to a local church and getting prayer and regular support is the best thing. The meds can actually cause further brain damage but your doctors wont tell you that. That is if it is you with the " so called" disorder. It is really all demonic and God is the ultimate and only physician that CAN heal this.
