Other Answers:
Combining alcohol and Xanex is a BAD IDEA.

They work very well together, a good friend of mine told me.

pills and alcohol ask yourself do you like what charcoal tastes like? well if not avoid your toxic potion

One way to find out and many outcomes to experiance. i say go for it, and share with us your wonderful or not so wonderful times!!

Mixing them is the worst of the three options.

Abusing either of them is equally bad.

How long do you want your liver for?

just go look at the statistics on drug and alcohol related deaths. also the stupid things people do while under the inflense.dont bother

If you have to ask, I'm thinking you've had too much of both! Really! Is this a serious question? Mixing drugs and alcohol? And drinking alcohol, which is a depressant, when you're obviously depressed already, since you're taking Xanax? (I am assuming you are asking this question for yourself - if not, my apologies - you can relay my answers to your friend that needs to know)It's just that THE PAPERS THAT COME FROM THE PHARMACY WITH THE DRUG SAY NOT TO USE ALCOHOL WHILE TAKING and also, your Dr should have told you the same..not understanding this "line" of thinking! You're trying to get better, right?

are you serious? You can't be that dumb. Incase you are. THEY ARE BOTH BAD!

A) Alcohol is a RESPIRATORY Depressant (among other things)

B) Xanax (NOT USED To treat depression) is a RESPIRATORY DEPRESSENT

Mixing the two can be toxic and/or fatal! CAN people live mixing them? Yes, is it very smart? NO!

NO kind of substance abuse - Xanax, Alcohol, Dope, Cocaine, Meth etc.. is good for your body.

If you are asking 'which' to choose to be addicted to (over the other).. my question back would be, why do you need to choose at all? You want to be an addict? Oh that's quite an aspiration? If I absolutely had to choose, I guess it would be alcohol, but that crap is bad on your liver and the rest of your body and it ages you, and keeps you depressed.

Xanax addiction is very difficult and that means you'd never be able to take Xanax, Valium or any other type of anti-anxiety medication (that was related to the benzodiazepam family) EVER again (even when you 'really needed it' as many people do, during very hard funeral services etc..). Xanax is cheaper, if you get it via script I guess, but again, it's hard on the respiratory system, the liver (Which processes a lot of drugs you take) and when you become addicted, everything feels super 'huge' when you come down.. because you blocked your normal nerve receptors for a very long time.

Be smart.don't do either and if you feel like you must do one or the other, look for the behind the scenes cause.. which probably is that you are deadening out your pain, from depression, or some other type of mental illness and GO GET TREATED! Avoid the addiction and terrible recovery process that all must go through, and all the pain and suffering to you and your loved ones.
