Calcium + Vitamin D is the best thing to take other than the prescription drugs that your doctor might give you. You should find out what those prescription drugs are and if you have any other health conditions would those drugs affect them. Exercise like brisk walking for at least 30-45 minutes a day is also good. Other than that, yoga could be beneficial. Good luck, and I'm sorry to hear about your spinal fracture!

Obviously you should see your doctor. Meanwhile, load up on the calcium and do whatever weight bearing exercise is safe for you.
not really sure i also have it and my doc makes me take fosamax plus D,it is taken once a week.i also take more meds but for rhumitoid arthritis very painful.

SORRY,for your pains but you must make a calibration for ur bone density.
Then we can decide what to prescribe for you but till u make this u can try soya bean rich food or it`s over the counter formulation it`s a great hunter & prophylactic agent against osteoporosis of course in addition to calcium & vitamin D presented in diet or some formulation.
NOTE that in brasil & japan they dont really got osteoporosis more likely than other races coz they eat soya bean very rich diet in addition to fish & other marine food
