Ok people, you want to give me some insight on this?
Question:
I don't urinate on my fingers so why should I wash my hands after taking a whiz? Wouldnt it be more appropriate to wash my hands BEFORE touching it? My hands have been exposed to far more in the course of the day!
Answers:
This is a good question.
First, bacteria exist in and on your body. When they are where they are supposed to be there is no problem. There is bacteria in your urine (Serratia marcesens and Pseudomonas auriginosa) and they are supposed to be there to break down the urine. These bacteria can survive the harshest climates and are very difficult to treat. Also, the bacteria on your package is Staphylcoccus aurieus. This bacteria has given many doctors the hardest time ever especially when it gets out of control.
Second, studies have proved that bacteria are sprayed everywhere when you pee and flush. So these bacteria get on your hands definitely, but also on the handle of the toilet and the sink, and the door knob. So not only do you have the chance of getting your bugs on you, but the gross guy who just drained the main vein before you.
Third, it is a statistical impossibility to remove all of the bacteria with washing in the shower or at the sink. Because over time with heat and moisture the bacteria multiply. So, even though you washed in the morning, by noon you would not be able to prove that you even took a shower because the numbers would have replenished themselves.
So wash your hands.
Other Answers:
Yes point taken but there are "dirty" bacteria from your back passage (such as E.Coli) which can creep up to your meat and two veg and therefore end up on your dick! I suppose we really should wash before AND after a pee!
Some doctors DO recommend washing your hands before - especially if you have been eating barbecue, or something very spicy, or have been working with strong chemicals. and then washing again, after.
Washing hand after urinating is done as a courtesy to others who has to touch your hand. Your little friend still sweats like all other parts of your body and plus like one of my friend said 'no matter how much you shake, the last drop always falls into the pant'.
the serious side.
Your own waste is almost harmless to you until it has spent time outside your body and bacteria begins to break it down.
Then it could be lethal.
Hopefully you are reasonably careful where you put your hands, and don't have a lot of waste product on them.
The less serious side.
Two guys leave a public toilet, one washes his hands the other doesn't.
"My mother taught me to wash my hands after going to the toilet", says one.
"My mother taught me not to piss on my hands ", says the other.
You should wash before and after. Before for your benefit and after for everyone elses benifit. Cause junior can stank.
Hi Rocco,
Yes it is advisable that you wash your hands before touching any part of your body espacially your 'little friend'. But remember that despite 'little friend' may be clean, he would have sweat a bit during the course of the day because of heat and becoz the best function of the body is to release toxins thru perspiration. So, you may not wee-wee on fingers but bacteria would have been built up because of heat. So also wash hands after you touch. It's good hygienic practice.

If you touched the toilet handle, door knob etc. after taking a wheeze and most people do..You should wash your hands Before and after. It's a Good Habit to reinforce.
Speaking about hygiene; take this point into consideration. If you use a public john even at the cleanest places (5 star hotels for example) what makes you dead-sure that the one who used the seat before you did not have dermatosis or any other contagious dermal disease? are you willing to take the risk or are you going to carry an antiseptic spray can with you the next time you visit a public lavatory? Does this (partially) answer your question?
