Talk to your doctor. You do NOT outgrow asthma. It can, however, fade quietly into the background as you age and grow less reactive to the things that trigger your attacks.

People that believe they "outgrow" their asthma are often extremely disappointed when they hit a life challenge (pregnancy, menopause, old-age) or have an extreme illness (pneumonia) and then all of a sudden the asthma they thought they'd "outgrown" returns (hormonal changes can re-trigger asthma as can illness).

Yes, people do very well grow out of asthma.I know this for a fact because some of my family were born with it but didn't have it later on in life.Also, some people don't get asthma until later in life as well.

I did. When I was in my early teens I started to be interested in running. The more I ran, the stronger my lungs got. Now I would say I have no more asthma. Looking back now, I think mine was caused by my father's smoking in the house.

If the asthma was innaccurately diagnosed, then yes. Today, so many of us have undeveloped chests that make it feel like asthma.

I've had asthma since I was 7. I was told I would grow out of it but it only got worse, much worse. I have been in the hospital via ambulance too many times to count.

I was on nine prescriptions for it, two of them steroids. I was finally able to get off ALL of them a couple years ago using good nutrition, exercise, and supplements! (I'm 55-1/2)

You don't grow out of asthma. I have it. You learn to increase your lung capacity(exercise) and how to avoid certain triggers. So it may seem like you grew out of it. but it will be back as you age.

My late father had it as a child , so bad that he had to sit to sleep, but he grew out of it, he thought it was all the shots they gave him, when he entered the Army, during WWII, because he starting growing and gained more weight, I don't know if that had any effect or not.***

yes some people do grow out of it and some don't i have asthma i think i was born with it and i haven't grow out of it as yet but i hope you do.
