Maybe try welbutrin? works wonders for me, and i have no side effects.
Yes. I've tried Paxil and Efflexor and they both made me feel like a zombie.like I was moving through a wall of cognitive Jell-O.
That stuff is bad. Also, once you get dosed up, you can suffer painful withdrawal symptoms.
Pills are an easy fix that don't always work. Real therapy is expensive, hard work, and difficult to prescribe in this HMO-ruined world.
I have never had any sucess with them. I find all they dom is level you out and without being able to really enjoy someything life seems far worse than when most things are crappy but a few things are really great.
Friend get off that mess. It will make you crazy. Try Jesus he will never fail!!
Been there done that. (Lexapro) I have never heard anything bad from anyone that has taken it.
why are you depressed? I tried lexapro for awhile but after a few days i started to feel like crap. i got very suicidal. if you want to talk more in detail, e-mail me.
You will find a lot of different reports from people who have tried various antidepressants, both pro and con. Some have had good results with one and not the others, some do not report positive results from any of them. I have tried a couple, really can't report any results one way or the other. (I think that if someone takes them thinking that this is the whole answer to their problem they are going to be disappointed.)
Sometimes it takes time to find the right combinations of medications that are going to work for you.
Are you giving them enough time for your body to adjust to the meds?
Paxil and Klonapin do work for some people, but not all. Just like all the others on the market. the dosages also affect how you feel. These meds need to be increased or decreased gradually. You can't expect 10mg's of paxil to be a quick fix for anxiety/panic or OCD. It needs to be gradually introduced to your system and also increased gradually until you feel it is working for you. This advise is the same for all of the SSRI's. I hope that you are seeing a psychiatrist to diagnose and prescribe your meds. Many family practitioners just don't understand exactly how these meds work and which ones work best together.
prozac works for me, it has been doing the job for the last two months. taking 40mg of the stuff and feel great.
Zoloft was the worst for me too. Jittery and crying. Common expression is "Zoloft tears". Lexapro is the most tolerable and effective for me. Welbutrin is good for fatigue. I used to take a Lexapro/Wellbutrin combo. Stick with it, you'll find one thats right for you. You might want to go to a specialist(a psychiatrist) to get a medication thats right for you. Don't be ashamed, you would go see a specialist for any other condition if you didn't get results.
I tried Welbutrin, Prozac and Zoloft. With Prozac and Zoloft, I started eating more. I was constantly hungry. And, with Welbutrin, I felt more depressed. Keep in mind, these were my experiences. Everyone is different. I stopped all the pills and did a lot of congnitive-behavioral therapy, which came from friends, family, and psychologists. This, in my book, is the best way to get help. The pills can only stop the symptoms, but not the thoughts. Check out www.apa.org. That webisite has the best information on the best course of action, and you can search for therapists in your area. Hope this helps somewhat.

I am having the exact same problem right now. After one pill I start shaking and grinding my teeth. It sucks. I try to wait a day or two hoping the side effects will lessen but they just get worse. It is very frustrating because I want to take them so I can live a normal life but they are keeping me from sleeping, eating, driving, concentrating. What's normal about any of that?!
I have had problems in the past, but now i take Lexapro and i have not had any problems at all with this. Could you ask your doctor about trying it maybe?
Keep in mind that one antidepressant that works well for one person may be another's poison. Everyone has different responses to these kind of meds. It takes some 6-8 weeks to even get in the system. If the doctor you are seeing is not professionally trained in this field my suggestion is talk to a psychiatrist and maybe he/she could help more. Trust me.I have tried many of the SSRI's like you. I am taking Zoloft along with Wellbutrin and it seems to be helping me alot more than opposed to taking one SSRI. Hope this helps. But please talk to a psychiatrsit first before making any decisions based upon my answer. Good luck to you!
