medical advice needed.?

Question:
I have a friend who has panic attacks, is depressed a lot, has high blood pressure, is very much over weight, does not exersize and thinks the whole world is against him. What can I do to help him?

Answers:
try to get him to go to the doctor, hypertension is deadly, panic attacks will make a person feel as if they are dieing but if he has one around you, coach his breathing down, breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. the obesity issue is against him, especially with hypertension, he should get checked for high cholesterol and of course diabetes. get him physically active somehow, swimming is a good thing for people not used to exercise, but push for that doctors appointment

Other Answers:
convince your friend to see a doctor ASAP. you should not interfer when psychological disorders are involved you may make it worst. you kight want to suggest that he sees one ( nicly though) or talk to his mother about his problem. mayb she can help

well, I am not a doctor. I have suffered from panic attacks and depression. I will tell you that your friend has to figure out that there is an issue and seek therapy. You can suggest that he sees a therapist and offer to go with him so that he doesnt feel akward. He also might be embarrassed so assure him that there are millions of people like him. He needs meds and he normal doctor needs to monitor that blood pressure while he is taking them

I would like to suggest a wonder and powerful book by Sherry Rogers, M.D. called: Depression Cured At Last. She explains the causes and cures of mental, emotional and physiological disorders (including panic attacks)that affect mood and brain function. And she teaches how to identify the biochemical problems and fix them.

You can get the book at Amazon.com or from the publisher at: 1-800-846-6687.

Best wishes and good luck!

Make him believe that you are his well-wisher.ask him to calm himself by doing extremely easy exercises of "YOGA" >for e.g BREATHING OUT >IN MUTED PRONUNCIATION OF "OM" WHILE CLOSING THE EYES.this activity will really relax his mind & reduce his stress.

He really needs to go see his doctor. Soon, those morbidities will not only affect his friendship with you, but with other individuals, his job, school, etc.
