If you can master applying it, liquid liner is awesome for staying put. The line it creates is harsher than a pencil, but I soften it by running a fine line of complimenting eyeshadow along the edge of it after it dries. I never, ever have to reapply, even if I have activities after work. I wouldn't use liquid eyeliner for years (thought it was too hard to put on), but everytime I asked someone who seemed to have consistently flawless eyeliner what they used, the answer was always the same. liquid eyeliner.

Almay 8 hour (I think it's called) is what I use. Dust your lids with powder after you apply and that stuff stays on for days.

Go to the closest MAC counter and try on a few different thing. The girls and guys are very helpful and it does not cost anything to try on. My FAV is the engraved poower point pencil .It satys on a long time and does not smudge or wear of very easy and it goes on like a dream.
