My freind took it and didn't have any problems.But,you might want to keep an eye out it can cause seizures,though rare.
I took wellbutrin and the only problem I had was muscle cramping, I stopped taking it only for that reason. I was starting track and I was always sore. Other than that I was fine. I hope your son does well on it.
