S.A.D. It's Seasonal Affects Disorder. Because rainy days make your body feel sluggish and gray, while sunny days are bright and full of energy, and you want to wake up and go play sports.

It's easier due to S.A.D. It's Seasonal Affects Disorder. Look into it on the internet, it's really interesting.

I think it is because the sunshine makes you happy to be up and enjoying a nice day. You see the rain and it is just downright depressing and you would rather stay in bed. That's how it is for me anyway!!

the sound of the rain actually relaxes you more making it seem harder to wake up

because the rain is so calm u want to stay in bed and sunny days u want to get up because the sun is shinning right in ur room

it's not. your mentally challenged. when i want to wake up you just wake up. just go sleep in the basement or somewhere you cant hear or see the rain. and dont tell me your knee hurts when it rains.

It is obviously because, in the words of the late-great Karen Carpenter, "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down."

i think it cos u can face the prospect of getting up when u know ur not going to get soaked and be freezing all day. The sun cheers u up- waking up when it is shining feels natural as opposed to waking up when it is still dark

It's a state of mind because of the lack of light.

Cause rainy days make it all too apparent that we have lost our way in the world. We are no-longer men, but shadows of what society wants us to be.

Suicide seems plausible when it rains.
on the other hand-
When it's sunny, the pub is always open

Rain has a calming, dark, sleepy tone to it. Makes you relaxed and ummmm sleepy.

The sun is bright and cheery. That makes your body want to be up for the nice day outside.

Did I win?

It's harder to wake up on a rainy day then a sunny day because when it rains your more relaxed.

Because if you notice, when you are awake when it rains you are more relaxed well thats the way i feel.

We are conditioned to be more vibrant when a high pressure are is in place.sun shine.warmth.blue sky and all that stuff..low pressure affects (rainy.overcast.gloomy.m. mental state as well as physical...

When the sun is out you fell energized and excited (at times). When its rainy, first of all outside it looks drab and dreary so you feel worn out, tired, slow, and sleep. It's jus our bodies react to our enviornment, & if its dreary outside we feel dreary inside, if its sunny, bright, and birds are singing, we'll feed off of the energy being put out that we'll feel energized, and sunny.

Because the rain makes it darker outside, and your brain still thinks it's night time. I have to wake up at 5:50 and it is still very dark, this makes it difficult to wake up in the morning. I have to take a shower to fully wake up.

The same reason why some people suffer from seasonal depression. The sunlight sends signals to our body that says it's time to wake up and be alert. When it's cold or rainy, we don't get those signals and have a more difficult time waking up. Plus our bed is always so much czier on a cold , rainy day.

I think the sun produces vitamin D (?) which in turn boosts our serotonin levels which is the happy hormone. So the sunnier it is, the happier we are.

SAD is caused by more than one rainy day

our sleep and wake patterns are related to light and on a rainy day there is less sun light so our body does not get all the cues it needs to wake, if you turn on all your lights you will find it is easier to wake up

SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is a type of winter depression that affects an estimated half a million people every Winter between September and April, in particular during December, January and February.

It is caused by a biochemical imbalance in the hypothalamus due to the shortening of daylight hours and the lack of sunlight in winter.

For many people SAD is a seriously disabling illness, preventing them from functioning normally without continuous medical treatment.
