Does smoking weed lower your intelligence?

Question:

Answers:
Long-term abuse might lead to some problems. You should not get dumb from smoking the stuff occasionally though. My best advice however would be not to bother with the stuff at all. Try video games, girls, and excelling at your studies instead!

Other Answers:
Most likely.

indubitably.wait, what does that word mean again?

No but it can slow your reaction time.

It can take away brain cells, yes. I don't know about fully lowering your intelligence. i think it depends on how much you smoke. But it DEFINATELY affects memory. And that sux. I work with kids who do a lot of drugs. STOP NOW!

yes ,though it may be temporary some effects can last up to 5 years,

If you smoke more than 1x a day maybe. But other than that you're fine

Yep, it sure does lower ur intelligence no matter what u've been told. I once know this person that had straight A's and when they started smoking weed their grades went down to average. When they quit their grades went back up to A's.B/c he did them for like a week.
And drugs can eventually sexually sterilize (Ithink that's the rite word) ur self pemanently if u use them to long. They make ur kids crack babies if ur pregnant, they also can be illegal.

Ask my friends, research

Smoking weed on a regular basis certainly can have a damaging effect on the brain, leading to a host of brain functioning deficits. Go to the website listed below to see images of SPECT scans (brain scans that show how well the brain is working) from individuals who have abused drugs and alcohol. You can see the numerous "holes" (and remember, these are holes in functioning, not holes in the physical brain) from years of heavy marijuana use. A "normal" SPECT scan shouldn't have holes, and you can see it about halfway down the page.

However, keep in mind the images on this site are from people using heavily. As far as I know, there are no significant long-term effects from occasional recreational use, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Smoke at your own risk, I suppose.
