Is it easier to create an athletic physique on a vegan diet as opposed to a diet composed of meat?

Question:

Answers:
No. Probably the contrary.

Meats contain proteins which are needed to build muscle. But it would depend on what you are trying to accomplish. By athletic if you mean build muscle and mass, meat needs to be a part of your diet. However, if you are trying to produce a more lean, toned body, meat may not be as essential.

Good Luck!

Other Answers:
I would have to say no. Vagies do not nearly contain as much Protein as meat does. In order to get an athletic physique though, I would suggest that you work out, instead of just dieting. Eat healthy and often, little (healthy) meals will do it. Healthy is the KEY.

As I write this I am chomping on an organic turkey burger..so I might be a little biased! Seriously, I think that building muscle mass would be easier with meat than without it. However, an athletic physique can still be achieved on a vegan/vegetarian diet. Bill Pearl was a vegetarian bodybuilder. Check out his book "Getting Stronger". In the back he has a section on vegetarian bodybuilding.

Apes are mainly vegetarians but males average between 300-500lbs in weight and have the strength of 4-8 men. So vegetables are nothing to sneeze at!
