What do braces cost (on average), and are they very painful?

who are the women who have the most beautiful feets?

Answers:
traditional braces costs (on average) about $5,000. Ceramic brackets are about $500 extra. These costs do not include x-rays, extractions, or special appliances. Invisalign treatment (in most cases) costs about the same as traditional braces.

But that varies. Let me explain.

If you have a health insurance plan that covers orthodontics, you might pay less, especially if you go to a provider that is in your insurance network. But be careful. Just as you wouldn't choose a medical specialist only because he is on your plan, don't choose an orthodontist soley based on this criteria. Get a consultation (usually free or minimal cost) and see how comfortable you are with that person. No amount of money saved can make up for two years with an orthodontist you don't like or don't have confidence in. Also, remember that most dental plans cover braces only before treatment begins. So if you've already started treatment, you may be out of luck.

painful? No, braces might cause discomfort during the first week, and immediately after alterations, but in general, braces are not painful.

It depends on what type you need. My daughter's braces cost around $2000. There is some discomfort when they tighten the wires, but it goes away quickly

It depends on what needs to be done.. but yeah.. expect at least 3-7 grand.

Are these good clothes?

It really depends on where you live and if you have insurance. I am on the last of three kids, they were all around $2700.00. I do have insurance so I paid a little more than half of that. Do you have a dental school near you? You can get quality dental and brace work done for as little as a 1/3 or the going rate.

As for the pain..initial work can cause some discomfort but over the counter pain killers work if nessecary. My kids had more problems getting use to the bulkiness and rubber bands snapping. When I see those pearl whites in their mouths, nice and neat and they way it helps with self confidence and appearance I would have them get braces again.

I have been taking Protonix for a month with not much relief. Can I take papaya enzyme along with Protonix?

Mine costed about $9000 but that's not US so I'm not sure what they'll cost you. Our conversion rate is about 2 to 1 so around $4500US maybe.

About the pain, most people WHO HAVENT HAD BRACES describe it as "some slight discomfort". The truth is its hurts. Getting them in isn't to bad, just takes about 3 hours of "discomfort" but once the teeth starts moving the pain is horrible and lasts for about 3 days. By the fourth day you're good until the next tightening (using about 8 weeks apart). During those days you're confined to jellos and soups or any other meal that doesn't involve chewing.

All that may sound detering, but if I was to do it again I would. I've had mine out for about 8 months now and you can really see the difference in the before and afters. If you really NEED braces get them, but if it's something minor, then I won't say its worth the cost or pain. Bare in mind that treatment is about 2 and a half years and during that time your menu is very limited, plus eating in itself is pretty uncomfortable even after the three day period.

in Canada it cost us $3600.00 to have my daughter outfitted with braces and this was back in 90's. Might be worth the trip to Kitchener Ontario to have this investment taken care of.
