If youre taking Effexor do you still have dreams?

Question:
Effexor is an antidepressant.

Answers:
I take efexor and my dreams are still there. I found this on a site dealing with efexor, side effects etc

Sleep Disturbance/Fatigue
Fatigue or tiredness is usually due to unsuccessfully (or incompletely) treated symptoms of depression. Venlafaxine, however, may contribute to this by alterations to the sleep pattern. The drug can lead to reduction in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep which shifts sleep from a deep, restorative stage (Stage IV) into a lighter phase. The decrease in REM may lead to the perception of vivid dreaming since the person is more likely to awaken during this phase of sleep and remember their dreams.

Other Answers:
nope, because this tablet intended for resting your mind.

ive been on and off of effexor for about 10 years. being on it more than off i'm happy to tell you, i still dream. some are pretty gory but other than that, yes, you still dream

I think it depends on individual, I am taking Effexor, and taking it doesn't cause me to have dreams. I have dreams when I have dreams, not because I took effexor.
If you have concerns about the medication, I really suggest you to talk to your psychiatrist.
For me, when I first begin to take effexor, each time after I took it, I feel VERY sleeping.

I have more dreams now that I'm on it than I ever did before.

i did when i was on it. i am on something else now and i still cant get past the dream state.
