My gums have thinned significantly, is this a bad thing?

Question:
Im 23 and my gums have thinned a lot over the past couple of years. I was told by a dentist that I shouldn't worry about it. What could it be?

Answers:
i had to go to a specialist for this. there is a certain amount that is normal for them to recede to. if you notice them turning whitish then you should get it measured . i have to go in and have grafting done. weirdest thing b/c i have never even had a cavity. be sure to use a soft bristled brush and floss!!

Other Answers:
Drink more milk, lots.

worry, this is very bad. later on your gums could start receding.

Well, do you floss? Do you eat right?

It can't be good

Gingervitus

watch out for paradonthosis. But if you take care of it now, you wont have to worry. Brudh your teeth 3 times a day. floos, and look for some gum gel to put on your gums and heal them
