Usually it reflects the gas build-up in that area, but it also can be the food that adds in a little.
you are kidding right well if not thenits because it is the gas from the food your body is digesting. it affects each person differently, hense the diferent smells. hate to see what your brother is like with chili
its called benificial flora. its all the bacteria that hang out and help you digest food and they can emit very noxious fumes from digesting your food a little more, like sulfur compounds and methane. the bacteria is actuall benificial and a full course of antibiotics can kill off hte good residents and make you have intestinal trouble. i dont think that there is a real way to change it maybe try yogurt to add different cultures to you and his system.
I think it has something to do with the bacteria inside your body..maybe he just has more of it LOL.
Everything in food we eat & drink gets all mix up into weirdo stuff that we really don't think about. Good thing our body is so strong to avoid from being blow up and I'm please to fart occasionally and knowing my system is OK. Oh excuse me, I need to go and light a candle to avoid some smell here, sorry Ü .
Its the bacteria of meat and stuff.They are treated as waste and build up and escape altogether in form of farts.
The gas that builds up is building up around food that is decomposing inside you. That will make the air smell bad, so when it finally comes out, it reflects what's inside of you.

Majority of what you put in comes out after it has mixed with acids and bacteria and things that can be much worse. You can deal with your own smell better because it comes from you. But some one Else's scent may not be appealing to you because you already know that farts stink. If it was embedded in your head that body gas smelled good from the time you were born this question would not be asked.

I should know the answer to that. The night before last I watched Myth Busters and they were analyzing flatus (farts). They told the type of gas that is responsible for the stinch. Maybe you could search for Myth Busters and find info on the episode about farts.
