Is this so wrong? Am I really psychotic?
Question:
It's true that I like to wear a dog collar, I'm addicted to those wonderful Diazepam pills, and I'm a very cynical person. but that does not make me insane, right?
I realize my behaviours sometimes may come as a bit excentric, but it's all part of who I am. I wish people would understand that sometimes.
Just because I like to stand out from mediocre people does not automatically make me insane, right?

Psychotic is not equal to insane. From what you wrote you do not sound insane. As for psychotic: Are you seeing or hearing things that aren't there? Do you have delusions (beliefs that are factually not true, such as that you are the President)? Are you paranoid to an extreme level? If you answered no to all those questions, you are not psychotic.
It sounds more like you walk your own path that diverges from "normal" - which is good, since "normal" is boring.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and not getting the results you want.
Psychotic thou? I doubt you are. you just like to be different. and that's ok.
No, I dont think wanting to attract attention to yourself means neceserily that you are insane, but it can mean that you have a lack of love in your life. Someone important in your life might have abandoned you, or you might not have received enough love or attention in your childhood.
I think your trying to express yourself the best way you know.
I dont know about the dog collar but taking diazepam pills will make you deranged. I am sorry if you are goign through depression. Get yourself cheked.

Diazepam, yeah, I can relate to that. Different drug than the one of my choice, but yeah, been there.

No you are not wrong in being yourself. Just because you don't conform to the social normal does not make you psychotic. Most people are not themselves. More people should be like you, and just be themselves openly. You GO grl!
You are NOT insane, you are just excentric. That is also a problem. If you need to stand out from mediocre people you definately have a problem with self esteem. You are perfect the way you are and do not need any gimmick to be different.
Diazepam is an antianxiety medicine. It can be addictive, but your behaviors sound like a bid for attention rather than a side effect of pills. If you're a teenager, it's a little extreme but not insane. Assuming this is a serious question that is. Have you told your doctor any of this?
This is your way of "rebeling" it is perfectly natural, maybe you'll grow out of it some day.
People do this bacause they care about you and that you are doing things they don't understand makes them worry more.
OK you have admitted a drug addiction. How much of your addiction influences your behaviour? Being cynical just makes you hard to be with not insane. But once again how much of your cynicism is from your addiction. You do need counselling of one form or another. It may lead you to discover that you are not so different.
You march to the beat of your own drum as do I love to stand out whether it's wearing yellow in the winter or wearing UGG's in the summer different good don't change just because people may think it's a bit kooky forget them!
