What causes pimples to grow in your ears?

Question: I am not looking for any smarty pants answers like why don't you clean your ears.I DO CLEAN MY EARS, but I have had three very sore pimples in my right ear in the past month and wondered if there might be a reason of which I am not aware.

Answers:
Hormones and sebaceous glands overproducing those special oils. And those zits hurt like heck, too, don't they? and last way too long.
