What type of Dr. could remove a small lump from my hand (Pencil lead from when I was a kid).?

Question: When I was a young child another kid stabbed me in the hand with a pencil, the lead broke of (Im assuming its graphite). Always had scare tissue there, but did not think there was a left over lead there. I started working out a few months back and the preasure of the bars on my hands has drive the lead to where I can se it pushing up under the skin. Its almost close nough I think I could slice it out myself.. but.. thats never a good idea. What tpye of Dr. could I go se that would actually remove it (GP would just refer me I would guess).

It very well could work its own way out. But if you'd rather have a doc do it, a GP might do it in the office, or a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. A plastic surgeon would be most expensive, but depending on the scarring, might be able to take some of the scar tissue out.
