something I wouldnt wish on anyone. Had one done with mineral oil once. It was the worst thing ever. The liquid was no big deal. Then about 30min later I had lower tummy pain. Then I had to use the bathroom frequently and I know I ruined a pair of underwear due to this procedure.

Think of it as part of your hygiene, and give yourself plenty of time. Prepare for some mild cramping -- you colon is doing it's job as it eliminates.
No need for it often. Once a week won't hurt. You'll get used to it. Work it into you hygiene rituals.
