Question:

Answers:
Regulatory agencies worldwide have reviewed more than 100 safety studies on sucralose and found sucralose to be safe including the United States Food and Drug Administration, the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA), the Health Protection Branch of Health and Welfare Canada, and Australia's National Food Authority.

Over 80 countries now permit the use of sucralose (and over 4,000 food and beverage products around the world are now sweetened with SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener).

My wife got a bad case of hives which drove her nuts. We did not know what was causing it. We finally traced it to Splenda.

i don't think there is aspertame in splenda.it is made from sugar. sucralose. maybe we should see what that is.

Any neutrasweet products have long term effects, if used very frequently. which i learned in my genetic course.

There aren't any known side-effects, for the simple reason that it hasn't been around long enough for them to become apparent. Sugar is the most dangerous sweetener, though. It's been proven over and over and over to have negative health effects. The scare sites you see regarding artificial sweeteners are based mostly on disproven studies and speculation.

Splenda contains chlorine. It is NOT healthy to ingest chlorine. See below.
