How do I deal with a REALLY bad cowlick?

Question:
I have a Terrible cowlick on the back of my head. What can I do to cover it? I am a woman with shoulder length hair. I'm thinking of cutting it short, but I don't know if I even want to b/c of the cowlick.

Answers:
I have one I wake up every morning with in my bangs because of the way I sleep..Styling Gel like Dep & a clip or bobby pin till the gel dries works every morning for me

Other Answers:
after you shampoo and condition it blow dry it with heat then when it's dry go over it with cool air to seal down the opening in ur scalp.then but a thin layer of hair gel on ur hair and let it dry.

mousse

with moose or gell or just cut it off lol

use one of those hair decorator things like a ribbon or bow or scarf or barrette or whatever they call them

Slap the cow, and stay away from the trough.

Seriously, though: you may want to shop around with hair stylists. Go in and say, "I'm not going to get my hair done today, but I want to show you this cowlick and get your advice on how to deal with it. Have you seen and dealt with one like this before? What did you do? Was the customer happy?"

Go to two or three people, then pick the one who gives you the advice that you find most reasonable, AND who says they're willing to work with you over time and help you style your hair so that you get a good result.

Good luck.

We don't choose our hair line, unfortunately! Why cut your hair? Try neck length style if you do. Please don't shy away from ponytails, because of this. Love yourself the way that you are. Someone will love your hair line, but you have to love it first.

shave it of nough said

You really don't want to have short hair, because there is nothing weighing the cowlick down. If you do decide to go short, you will need a lot of gel.
