i think it is because she only has her ears pierced once on each ear.that makes it even more stupid

I agree it is stupid. My mother wouldn't let me get my ears pierced once till I was 16. I talked to an aunt about it and she said when my mom was a kid she didn't get to do the things I do so she may see them as unnecessary. My mom is all about the practical and she even let her ears close up after she got them pierced because it was time and money consuming. So if it's any comfort I have a mom like yours it seems. Oh, one thing that did work I got my dad on my side and it helped, he talked mom into letting me get my ears pierced.

Well my friend's mom wouldn't let her get her ears double pierced so she went with her friends and got it pierced. she wears double earrings at school, but prior coming home, she takes it off, and lets her hair cover her ear, so the second hole is barely visible.

No, I don't think it's stupid. I think that kids should obey their parents. If you disagree with her, try discussing it like an adult rather than throwing a hissy fit. Maybe then she would reconsider and think that you are mature enough to make such a decision.

Do what your mom says, you have the rest of your life to get your ears pierced, but you don't want to go against her wishes.
She is your mother. You are under the age of 18, so you need to listen to her still . You need to respect her desires. Mothers have their reasoning for everything. I don't see anything so cool and terrific about having more than one set of earrings in your ears. Chances are good, you will grow out of it anyways and realize you did something foolish.
Give yourself a couple of years. Once you turn 18 you can pierce whatever it is you want to pierce, your mother has nothing to say about it then. She might try to, but she cannot stop you since at the time you will be an adult.
Who knows by the time you are 18, you just might come to realize having two earrings in one lobe is pointless anyway

I think piercings are barbaric. Think about it.You want to stab holes in your flesh to hang shiny pieces of metal on to attempt to look better. Gross.Just because alot of people do it does not mean it is right. Hopefully as we become more civilized as a species we will quit doing ridiculous things to our bodies in the name of style.
Your mother is correct. I dont think you should have ANY piercings untill you are an adult. It is wrong to mutilate peoples bodies when they are minors. A minor is not legally responsible for themselves and it is wrong to make these kinds of decisions for them. WHen young, as you are, you are not fully capable of deciding what is right or wrong yet so your parents must make these decisions for you.
Well My mom has two holes and I only have one!! So my mom was always the cool one..PLUS I am TERRIFIED of needles!! At least you can let an earring hole grow up.without a HUGE sum of money a tattoo is permanent! Tell her that.at least you don't want a tattoo right now.lololol
