Answers:
Yes, it certainly could. Anxiety comes in a wide variety of forms, but it is all treatable, especially with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with medications like Ativan or Xanax. I know it feels like you're dying, but you won't. Call a friend or do something else positive to take your mind off your symptoms and you should be fine.

sounds like what ive been going through, yes i think, it could be an anxiety attack. i went to the doc. cause it was happing all the time. i wasnt angry, but im a worrier. she set me up for an appointment, to have things checked out, havent gone yet, but my life has changed a little, and i feel a difference. so i believe it just anxiety.if it starts to happend all the time, u should go to the doc though, just to be on the safe side, this is ur heart, we are talking about. right?

i once had to go to the hospital cuz i thought i was having a heart attack cuz it was racing and while i was sitting in the waiting room, i felt like i was gonna pass out and couldn't breate. they did blood work, ekg, and blood pressure and everything was fine. anxiety can feel like you're dying.it's scary. the thing to do though is learn to recognize it and try to calm yourself down, take deep breaths and think of something positive. i sit in front of the fan and concentrate on the nice wind that's hitting my face and it goes away.
